Teaching Aims:

1) Toincrease the students’ store of vocabulary related to beauty;
2) Toknow more about physical beauty and inner beauty.
b. Ability Aims:
1) To develop students’ reading skills: finding outtopics; finding out detailed information;
2) To understand the main idea.
c. Moral Aims:
1) To talk about beauty and guide the students to lookfor true beauty in real life;
2) To judge objectively and appreciatebeauty.

To get students to have a deeper understanding ofbeauty: inner beauty is more important than physical beauty.

Step I. Lead-in (Brainstorming)
Show Ss some pictures and lead them tothink “what is beauty to them?”
Elicit the idiomatic expression: Beautyis in the eye of the beholder.
