Unit 9  Lesson 1 On Your Bike

教材分析

本课书是15单元的第4课,是以阅读策略训练为重点的阅读课。内容主要是讨论帮助理解事物的不同方法。

本单元分两个课时完成,第一课时以阅读为主,学生在前面三课已经了解了终身学习的重要性,学校之间的差异和区别,以及他们喜欢的老师和学校,这些都是与学习相关的知识,本篇课文讨论的是理解事物的方法,仍然是在讨论有关学习的问题,是更深层次的学习问题。文章中所提倡的学习和认识世界的思维方式对中国学生比较陌生,因此在理解上可能会有困难。因而在课文内容理解之前建议先帮学生扫清重点词汇的理解障碍,同时学生以前学过的找关键词的策略,也可在一定基础上为学习本课策略奠定了基础。教师要做好铺垫,帮助学生真正理解作者所介绍的这种有助于培养学生具有独立的思维能力的方式。第二课时帮助学生在语境中学习并应用指示代词和连词,同时练习巩固与探究性学习有关的词汇。
